We looked Benjamin Zephania’s “It would not be very good” poem. We watched this performance, before children having a go at performing this themselves.

We then used the poem to have a look at equality, and we wrote our own poems.

This is George’s Poem:

It would not be very good if people told me to go home

It would not be very good if people wrote the same poem

I t would not be very good if we lived in the same place

And it would not be very good if we were all the same race

It would not be very good if we couldn’t join in

It would not be very goof if we all had the same grin

It would not be very good if we all didn’t care

It would not be very good if we all didn’t share

It would not be very good if we had the same mother

It would not be very good if we didn’t like each other.
