The Meaning of Resilience

During this week’s PSHE lesson Group 6 were learning about good mental health and developing our resilience. We discussed some of our personal stressors and gave each other advice on how to potentially overcome them. The focus was on trying to be more optimistic in our day to day. Remember the advice for good mental health – eat well, exercise, sleep well and everything in moderation!
We used acrostic poetry to summarise our idea of resilience. This is Alfie's:

Rest when you're stressed

Enjoy your defeat

Set yourself a challenge


Love your self

I can keep trying

Every time you fail still keep going

Never give up


Even though you lost still have hope
